ZELABS LTDverifies every ASAP customer’s identity before they can hold or move funds. This page states the commitments; the full operating policy is a private document, available to our licensed partners and to regulators on request.
Staged verification
A verified email is enough to use ASAP at a bounded limit. Higher limits require additional verification, including a Bank Verification Number, checked by our licensed partner against the national BVN database. We do not independently verify identity documents, and we do not operate a verification system of our own.
What happens to identity data
A Bank Verification Number is transmitted to our licensed partner and is not retained in our own systems. We collect only what verification actually requires, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. See our Privacy Policy for the fuller account of what we hold and why.
