Anti-Money Laundering.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

ZELABS LTDoperates an anti-money laundering programme for ASAP, aligned with Nigeria’s Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022. This page states the commitments; the full operating policy is a private document, available to our licensed partners and to regulators on request.

How money moves

Customer funds are held and moved by our licensed payment partners, not by us directly. We do not accept cash, and every transaction is recorded in an append-only ledger with a provider reference and a timestamp.

Identity before money

No customer can fund or spend a balance before completing identity verification. Higher transaction and balance limits require additional verification, including a Bank Verification Number checked against the national database by our licensed partner. See the KYC Policy for how that works.

Monitoring and reporting

Transactions are reviewed for patterns consistent with money laundering or terrorist financing. Where a review substantiates a concern, we file the required report with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit and cooperate with our licensed partners and with law enforcement.
